What people think about Bob Dylan's 115th dream:

  • Hilarious song! One of my favorites, very witty lyrics. Love the uncontrollable laugh in the beginning!
  • I absolutely LOVE this song..so many great lines but I love the play on ARAB/AHAB and the whale and how Bob changes it near the end to a woman (.."last time I saw Arab he was fixed on a whale, who was married to the deputy sheriff of the jail..LOL!! Flippin' brilliant. The other really cool line (they're all cool) is when he says he flipped a coin to see if he should go back to ship or back to jail..."it came up tails, it rhymed with sail, so I went back to the ship" Well, tails also rhymes with jail, so it is just a really clever play on words. AMAZING!!
  • Been listening to Dylan since 1964 and still can't get enough. People should stop worrying about why and just listen to how. Your own interpretation is the truth for you!! The man's a wizard!!!!!!!!!!
  • Another great Dylan song with some interesting lyrics, this one has a really catchy rolling rhythm.
  • I repeated that my friends Where all in jail, with a sigh He gave me his card He said, "Call me if they die"
  • I thought maybe he was caned. Great song anyway, with some surreal but meaningful lyrics and a good jaunty tune.
  • oh - i always thought the 'laugh' was kinda nasty and directed at the 'folkies' who thought they were getting old, organic, authentic acoustic dylan but were about to be assualted by the full synthetic Mass Culture assualt. christ i'm negative and paranoid...
  • I love this song! One of my favorite Dylan tunes. Love the beginning as well, didn't know the story behind it Ravian18, thanks for sharing it! :)
  • recording took place near the very beginning of Dylan's first electric sessions, he wasn't used to playing with a band and just plowed right ahead, causing everyone at the session to laugh at the blooper. Dylan got such a kick out of producer Tom Wilson's laugh that he insisted it remain on the album.
  • Why does Dylan laugh at the beginning of Bob Dylan's 115th Dream? At the beginning of the song Bob Dylan's 115th Dream, on the album _Bringing It All Back Home_, he starts to sing the first verse and then suddenly stops, cracking up in uncontrollable laughter. Why? The commonly accepted reason is that the band missed their cue and didn't come in when they were supposed to. Because this recor
