What people think about Up!:

• this song is great because the word "galaxies" is in the lyrics and also because M83 is a galaxy. i like space. 
• oh so there's a hounds of love reference in the lyrics. didn't notice until now, always thought it was some kind of a tribute to Kate Bush - now I guess I know

• ... and reading further I see a lot of people who think it *is* some kind of huge departure. Come on, how? It's a mellow, dreamy electronic song. 10 seconds of something that reminds you of hip-hop is not a departure. Maybe if the entire song were hip-hop you'd have a point. I don't want to convince anyone to like a song they hate. I'm just confused about the reasons people are giving for being negative. 
• People complaining about the lyrics are completely lost. This song is a clear tribute to the great Kate Bush. If you listened to her music much, you might get it that aspect of it. Anyway, that shouldn't matter. Musically, I don't see how it's a departure from the rest of M83's music.
