What people think about Still Life:

• Oh, dieses Stück mag ich sehr... es beginnt so wunderbar sanft & steigert sich dann zu einem fulminaten Meisterwerk. Bretts Stimme finde ich hier auch so besonders, weil sie einen großen Umfang offenbart. 
• I think you are unfair now, this is an unusual track, and not a normal "rock song" I think it is innovative and they probably knew they would get loads of shit from people who want mainstream music. 
• check out the vid for some proper lame singing. Not one of Brett's better days. 
• I can't stand this one, the music sets a great stage but the lyrics can't really carry it all.. sounds like a movie soundtrack.

• every song on this CD seems to want to go completely OTT. In one way or another. Be it the classicalness of this one, the 9 minute psychodelic Asphalt World before it the stomache churning noises of the opener.... ectra. Its just a triumpth of OTTness. In every sense an album that wants to jump out your CD and achieve hyper realistic status. Then this one finishes and another Suede album comes on... and their just not on the same level.
