What people think about Exhausted:

  • I agree with you guys, I have been a huge fan of this song for at least 15 years! The heavy distortion and the ending are what get me.
  • I don't know about that sexualrobotics but certainly early Foos = Nirvana. I think early on Dave Grohl did an excellent job rounding up the Nirvana followers and giving them music they would love.
  • I also think it's their best song. The distorted guitars fit the lyrics so well. The Brixton Academy video of this song never bores me. It's also the best song to end a concert. Truly a shame that they haven't played it live for such a long time now.
  • in my opinion their best song on their best album, although i like the colour and the shape nearly as much.
  • This might be a bias opinion because I heard The Colour and the Shape first and than bought all their other albums to date...I think this might be one of my favorite songs. I dig that the quality is so so, very lo-fi. It's actually kind of enchanting and sexy. Yes I know their new material is more polished, but somebody believes that it's more radio friendly? Come on. Let's face it? This sound was the sound on the 90's. Like some of you said, people won't apperciate this album now because the music world has changed. And I'm not saying this change was for the better...
  • Great song. Kurt was interested in singing on this one, but of-course that didn't work out in the end. :(
  • I agree with countmusica. Colour and the Shape was a great follow-up, but since then, the MOR has taken over. They still have some good songs, but you have to look much harder to find them.
  • i bought all the foo albums from color and the shape until echoes, and then purchased this one.i guess i appreciated it more because i heard all their other stuff first....this is by far my favorite album of theirs...and this song is my favorite song of all time, by any artist. certainly is a hidden gem.and way underappreciated.
  • This is my favourite Foo Fighters album by far. This is my favourite song on it. But what I can't believe is how hard it is to get other people to try and listen to it. No-one bothers with it because it's their first album. I think it's a shame :(
  • Agree with countm - every track on this album is fantastic, but I've not really liked much of anything they've done since; if I remember rightly, the static and under-represented vocals were a reflection of Dave's lack of confidence in his singing voice.
