What people think about I Remember Nothing:

  • Amazing song. Although I can't help but picture Ian on a rollercoaster when hearing the "weeeee" part.
  • Unknown Pleasures has been one of my favorites for a while, but I've overlooked this track for so long. :( Just realized how perfect it was the other day. I love the glass(?) smashing and the repeating guitar riffs. Also the lyrics - "we were strangers" - and the way he sings them, so haunting.
  • LeLarsch: the Talking Heads actually had never heard Joy Division before recording The Overload, they just played what they thought it would sound like. They were very accurate.
  • Oh and that guitar riff might be the simplest thing ever conceived but damned if it isn't perfect for the song
  • This is the final resolve to a seemingly horrible encounter, perhaps instigated by some uncontrollable desire. Compare the moodiness of this closing tune with Gang of Four - Anthrax (closing Entertainment!) two closing tracks of landmark post-punk albums that still sound fresh, ominous and foreboding
  • Looks like the Talking Heads listened a lot to Joy Division, if I compare The Overload and I Remember Nothing. :)
  • ITT; Rigoisphat is a trollan drama queen
  • Intense song, excellent atmosphere and the keyboards in the background are so simple yet effective.
  • thanks for demonstrating how any retard can type gothic into a sad excuse for an encyclopedia. you fail at life, tool.
  • U2 clearly has taken influences from this one. Listen I Remember Nothing and after that U2's Bullet The Blue Sky...
