This song is exactly how I imagine New York to be, at least based on all the half-jokes it inhabitants make. As Tom Lehrer once said, things that are obscene to most people are considered "sophisticated" in New York. I guess it comes from having seen just about everything that could possibly be seen. It must hurt to get to New York jaded :)
